I've been playing guitar since August 27th, 1990. Some of you might know that date, most probably don't off hand. That was the day the late, great, Stevie Ray Vaughan died. That was also the day a friend named Troy Henry (from California) gave me my first electric guitar and told me "go learn how to play"!

Learn to play I did (Thanks Troy, wherever you are). I soon learned enough to be dangerous, and started watching bands in the local clubs in college. I got to be pretty good friends with some of the other bands, and they were gracious enough to let me get up and play once in a while. I was living the fantasy! 

I also decided to learn bass about this time, because bass players were more in demand than mediocre guitar players! I soon got in my first touring band and sort of got paid for doing what I loved.

During this time I met Rick Westall. He owned a music store in our town and was a Great guitar player, and friend. He taught me more than anyone else about instruments and amps, effects, PAs, what have you. We became good friends and now 30 something years later, we embark on this new journey together!

I don't play in a traveling (or gigging for that matter) band anymore, but I still love music! I love playing, recording, repairing, modding, and generally fixing all things guitar. 

I've been modding and repairing out of my house for the past 2 years and am extremely excited to open our shop, so that we can serve you, our friends, better!

I look forward to seeing both old and New friends at ToneHead.
